My daughter (Minty) was boarding at Badminton school for 3 years since she was 9 years old. During exeat weekends the girls went to stay with Guardians. She was very upset with the first Guardian because they were to controlling. After more than one year I decided moving her to Ron and Rose. She was very happy there. Then she moved to Wycombe Abbey school at High Wycombe, but asking me to let her stay with Ron and Rose for all exeat weekends.
Every time she stayed at Ron & Rose, she liked the feeling of being at home with understanding and accommodating adults.

I can always rely on Ron & Rose when my daughter need a pickup from her school or attend a school parent meeting, sometimes at short notice. Living far away from England I have a total peace of mind being assured that my child is well taken care of, both  professionally and gently. Even now, as Minty has moved to the US, she is making plans to visit Ron & Rose in the future.

Absolutely recommended as guardianship for girls and boys  schools boarding.

My name is Diana O. and I attended St Mary's school, Calne. I was an international student and my guardians used to be Ron and Rose Thomas. I am writing this e-mail to you regarding their guardianship. 

Every half-term, fixed exeat weekend and holidays I used to stay with Ron and Rose. They were my guardians for three years. From my own experience, I can say that they are exceptionally wonderful at 
looking after their students. I always felt comfortable, relaxed when I stayed with them. Moreover, it was always an amazing break for me from school. As guardians, they are very polite, attentive, caring, friendly and helpful. The meals were always very well-cooked, the rooms were very neat, as well as the washrooms, they would always help with any issues and give a lift anywhere you need. Most of all, they are very fair and organised.

I was very happy they were my guardians. I always recommended them to my friends, and my friends stayed over for many times and were very pleased and had a great time! I would recommend them to any of my friends.

My name is Adrian.Ron and Rose Thomas have been a great guardian since i started staying at their house 5 years ago. They have taken care of me all the time every half term I stayed with them. They treated me very kindly and I enjoy staying with them every time. Their meals are delicious and I appreciate them being my guardian.

Ron and Rose Thomas have been my guardians for almost 4 years. They were always nice and friendly. They took good care of me, they were always available if I needed them. I felt like I could share with them my problems and they could give me advice when I needed it. I enjoyed staying in their house over half-terms as they provided everything I needed and the food Ron cookes is delicious.

They would come to a parents school meeting if I asked them. They were always appropriate in the way looking after me. I think Ron and Rose Thomas are great guardians and I would recommend them to many of my friends.

My name is Andy, Mr Thomas has been my Guardian for 4 years and he has been treating us very well. Not only that, he is doing a good job on all my arrangement every half term, so i don't need to worry about things like transportation every half term which make my life easier. Further more, whenever we need help, they are able to help us and solve the problem. I think Mr and Mrs Thomas sample of a good guardianship. 

Every time I come to their house, I could meet up many people from different countries, we could learn how to communicate and live with people from other nationalities. Also we all like living in this house because we always have  fantastic half term and there are nothing to worry about. The final thing i want to mention is that the cooking skills of Mr and Mrs Thomas is outstanding, the purpose of half term is to enjoy and relax. These are the things Mr and Mrs Thomas able to give us, and because of these elements, my revision is more efficient which benefit most pupils. Therefore, I think this family is an extremely perfect guardian to have during holidays.

Ron and Rose Thomas have been my guardians for almost 6 years ,and I can say that I do not regret having them in my life as my guardians and also my second parents! The relationships that R&R and I have is very strange , well strange in a good way. It all started off on the first day of September in 2008 , when I first came to England as an overseas student. I didn't know much English, I was shy and self conscious about this 2nd language which I have never come across seriously. However, Ron and Rose never fail to help me , they have always been there for me , not just being helpful with my English but they have also helped me grow as a stronger individual. They have taught me different things which I could not have learnt in other places, such as independence , consideration and the sense of humour. 

The longer I know them, the more I learn and experience the diversity of cultures. I have made good friends at" International House", I used to wonder why is it called International House, and now I fully understand the meaning of this house, International House give me opportunities to make friends with other nationalities in different age groups.This is THE INTERNATIONAL HOUSE!

Last but not the least, this is my last year of High school, and I am very grateful of what Ron and Rose ( even Holly) have done for me,and I know sometimes I can be a pain in the neck, but you guys have been truly amazing for me and I will never forget you guys. And university will not be a barrier for me to visit you next year!

My name is Derek S.  I was a student in UK who graduated from the University of Liverpool in December 2012. I have been studying in the UK since 2001, and Ron and Rose Thomas were my guardians. I am writing this email regarding to my experience (September 2001 – July 2008) with them. 

During the years with a previous guardianship, I stayed with at least 5 different host families including Ron and Rose Thomas. Without a doubt, Ron and Rose were definitely the best guardians among them. Ron and Rose are always friendly, caring and helpful. They are always there for the students, keeping in touch with the students even while they are at school, and making sure that they are fine and not having to deal with any problems alone. 

Most of all, I never had any negative experience with them. I always have a great time being with the Thomas family, and I would recommend them to any of my friends and family.

I really like this guardian, because they always make a lot of great food and I like it so much. If we have some problem they will help us very quickly. They are quit nice and they always say some joke to us, if we want to some place, the will took use to get together. If we forgot to bring money or we do not have any, they will borrow us some money and they will ask our mother or dad to give back the money, and they sometime will take use to Cosmo, there have many great food in there, I think that they are very find. I make many friends in there. I like my guardian. Thank you very much.Jackie W.

Half term for me is not only relaxed and plays on computer games, it also means good foods. My guardians have cooked a lot of good food for us during half term. 
If you have any problem, they will always help you. Always stay in downstairs in-case you have any problem. No matter how big your problem is, they can still help you.
If you don’t like the foods, you can always eat outside but I don’t think people will always do that because those foods are not bad.
They can always take you out to where you want to go, they will drive normally. 
They will take you to Cosmo (an Asia restaurant). We only pay for the drink not for foods. The foods are very tasty.
When you have exam, they will make revision sections; just to help you to get a good mark in your exam. 
    It is a very nice place to stay.

Ron and Rose have been my guardians for about 4 years and they have taken care of me very well. I feel very comfortable and at ease under their care which is why when they stopped working with a previous Guardianship, I changed and followed Ron and Rose. They are very friendly people and I have seen over the years how they treated other students as well, with respect and responsibility, regardless of age or race. I have every confidence in their ability to care for and accomodate for the students' welfare.

Nicole's: 
This is the first year I am with Ron and Rose and I joined because my sister was already under their care. I enjoy staying in their big but cozy house but especially the food.  They are very nice and helpful and I am definitely going to stay with them. 

I am Jason W. in Clifton College. I have been in the Uk for five years, every exeat and half term makes me excited since I can come to Mr and Mrs Thomas' house for some relaxation. I can meet up with friends from different schools, not only i can meet new people, I can go out and revise with them. The best thing about being a part of Mr and Mrs Thomas' family is that they cook extremely good and I will guarentee that you will not suffer through out the night from hunger because you can eat until you are satisfied. They give us deserts after meals and every time when I finish my meal, I would  stay behind and talk to Mr thomas about life. Telling me how he was and what he do when he was young. I have learnt from him some times people have to step back and move on so that problems can be solve smoothly. But some times we have to fight for what we can and deserve. For this few years I have been pleased that the internet have not been down for once and this can be really inportant for people like me:). My friends ask why Thomas' house, I would ask them have you ever been in a holiday and get the chance to learn like school? they all reply no, living in Thomas' house we can ask Mrs Thomas to help us out in French oral and some english work, and this I belive not much gaurdian can give. So I believe that Mr and Mrs Thomas is one of the best gaurdians students can live with. And I believe that without Thomas I will not be as confidence as now and I will not be brave enough to express what I feel and want. Jason W.

My is Kelvin K.  I am a student from Hong Kong which had stayed with Mr and Mrs Thomas for 3 years. I love staying with them as they gave us the environment that we can feel secure, safe and comfortable. In my opinion, they had provided a second home for the overseas students that had chosen to stay with them. They are extremely passionate about their job, being a Guardian takes time and responsibility. I can ensure you that they had committed themselves into this job and they are the best at what they do, driving to Heathrow airport 5 o'clock in the morning, just to pick up an student to get them to school. This job is not the most well paid job in the world, but surely, it is one of the hardest job that you can think of. And they are still working as a guardian disregarding how tiring this job can be.

My name is Mariya K. and I used to be an international student in Sidcot School from 2006 up till 2010.  Ron and Rose were my guardians for 3 years. In my opinion and from my experience, they have been nothing but exceptional guardians. They have looked after me, as my family would. I never felt unwelcome in their house and have always been taken care off. If there was a need to be driven somewhere, Ron or Rose would take care of that: If there was any sort of problem during my stay both in the house or in school, i felt very comfortable contacting them and asking for help. I always felt that I could trust them. The meal times were great as well.  They would always consider students choices and if there was anything a student didn't like or was allergic to, they would prepare an additional meal for that student. The rooms have always been neat and clean, as well as the washing rooms. Any facilities were available for the students. During the time they were my guardians they have never been incorrect towards me. But on the opposite very organised and fair. I always had my privacy and if there was a problem of any kind ranging from taking me to the cinema to helping me out when I had problems of the emotional kind, they were always there and available at any time of the day and night. I would defiantly recommend them, since as mentioned before, they are the guardians, student from overseas could wish for. On many occasions my friends were also staying in their house, and all of them were very positive about the stay. I am very happy that i had the experience of being looked after by Ron and Rose and I can say with all the honesty, that they have been like a second family to me. I never felt like it was a obligation for me to go to their house during the holidays, on the opposite i felt like i was returning home. 

Mr Thomas and Rose have been a great guardian. I have been here 3 years ago and I have no comment about them because they take care of me really well. Their food are well cook and it is really good. They give me  everything i need. When I first came to the house, I feel like I am in a 5 stars hotel. That is everything i know. And finally i forget to said Ron is the funnest people I ever seen

I would like to say that I have really enjoyed my stay with Ron and Rose Thomas. Even though they are not my guardians, I had a fantastic time with them. Everything ranging from my room to our food has been very well done. For me what makes them stand out from other host families where I stayed is that we are always together whether we are having food or going to play bowling. The most important thing is that you truly feel like you are looked after- Veronica

My name is Viktoriia P.  I went to Sidcot School from 2006-2009. I met Ron and Rose Thomas during my first year of school, they were visiting their students to make sure they are well. Throughout my school years I was under a different guardianship, however after having stayed once with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas I never went anywhere else. As an international student my time at school was extremely difficult, my parents never visited me and I went home only a couple of times a year. Ron and Rose were like parents to me, they have always treated me with respect and as a grown up. The time I spent at their house was lovely, the food was amazing since Ron is an amazing cook; the rooms were spacious and clean and finally the best thing is that we had an opportunity to meet students from other schools and make new friends. Furthermore, frequently we would even ask Mr. and Mrs. Thomas to pick us up on the weekends so that we could stay with them instead of school campus. 

Dear Ron and Rose,
Many thanks for your generous support and kind help.  I am most grateful for your kindness to Eric which has given me the sense of ease and comfort as I know that Eric is in safe hands!

Eric now holds two wonderful offers from the US and Imperial College.  Both will offer him high quality education.  Obviously Clifton college has provided a wonderful learning environment for Eric to develop his full potentials.

In the meantime, I look forward to welcoming you in Hong Kong so that I can have the chance to thank you properly.
